THE KIDS ARE GOING BACK TO SCHOOL! That’s right, your children should have started school by now, and it sure can be tough. Being able to balance all your responsibilities between a tutor, parent, and your career must be extremely challenging and demanding. The most important thing to do is SET A SCHEDULE, not only for yourself but also for your children. If your job has some flexibility, set aside specific times for helping the kids with their school work, and doing your own work. Even better, split the day between your spouse with one taking the morning hours to work and the afternoon to be a parent and the other takes the opposite schedule. A schedule will help eliminate stress and increase productivity.

Second, set up DESIGNATED WORK AREAS for your child’s school work and your own professional work. This will enable you to communicate to your children that while mommy or daddy is in those areas, they need to do work and cannot be distracted.
